1. What kinds of amenities are there at Liberty Park, and how close will they be to my home?
Here at Liberty Park, there’s no shortage of amenities. To name a few, we have 13 playgrounds, three tennis courts, a dog park, a 24-hour fitness center, biking and jogging trails, a food court, a gas station, a library, a post office, and three 18-hole golf courses. But that’s just the beginning. 2. I am new to Liberty Park. Are there any events where I can meet my neighbors?
Whether you are PCSing to Liberty Park or just looking for a single-family or apartment-style home on Andrews, we know how tough being the “new kid on the block” can be, so we make it our mission to host numerous resident activities throughout the year. Some of our favorites include the Valentine Dance, our Fall Festival, Santa on the Fire Truck visit, and the Memorial Day Pool Opening. 3. How can I see what rental homes on Andrews are available to me?

4. When can I see my future home?
Because Liberty Park at Andrews features more than fifty floor plans, we do not maintain models of each home type. Homes at Liberty Park are assigned prior to current occupants’ vacancy, so we are often unable to show you the interior of your home in person prior to move-in. When possible, we do our best to ensure you see a floor plan that will be available to you based on your PCS orders or arrival date.

5. Does Liberty Park offer apartments?
Compared to off-base housing options and apartment communities around Andrews, Liberty Park’s on-base townhomes provide all the conveniences of market rate apartment-style living, but with much more square footage and better amenities. Offering 2-, 3-, and 4-bedroom configurations, Liberty Park can accommodate just about any living situation you may need, at a price competitive to off-base housing. 6. How long is the waitlist, and how can I check my position on the list?
Waitlist assignments are based on rank and number of dependents, so time on the waitlist varies on a case by case basis. You may check your position on a specific waitlist by visiting our Waitlist page and entering your social security number.
7. Can I paint in my home?
We do allow interior painting in homes. However, you will be required to restore the original color prior to moving out.
8. Do all homes come with appliances?
All homes at Liberty Park come equipped with a refrigerator, oven, stove, and dishwasher. Certain floor plans also have built-in microwaves.
9. Will my home be furnished?
Residents are responsible for furnishing their own homes.
10. Who will provide maintenance for my home?
Our friendly maintenance staff is responsible for general upkeep and fixing any issues that may arise. Should you have a need, simply submit a Maintenance Request form on our website, and they will respond to your request. For emergency maintenance, please call 301-599-1418 for immediate assistance.
11. Are utilities included in my monthly rent?
Water, gas (if applicable), and a utility allowance are included in your monthly rent. If you conserve energy and fall below your electric allowance for the billing period, you may be able to take advantage of rebates from Conservice, Liberty Park’s Utility Provider. To monitor your monthly statements, please create an online Conservice account.
12. Can I have pets on base?
Residents are permitted to have up to a maximum of four (4) pets per home. A $200 non-refundable pet fee is required. Pets 3 and 4 require a pet deposit for $300 for each. Please note that Pit Bulls and Pit Bull Mixes are not allowed at Liberty Park.
13. What Internet providers do you have on Andrews?
All of our homes are pre-wired for Comcast cable and Internet. Verizon is available in some areas of Liberty Park; check with the leasing office for full details. Satellite is also allowed within approved installation guidelines.
14. Do you allow fenced yards?
Some of our homes have fenced in yards. For those that don’t, Liberty Park allows 4-foot black vinyl chain link fencing to be installed by a contractor . All installations must obtain prior management approval.
15. Can I have a garden in my yard?
Residents are not allowed to have box or raised gardens in their yards. However, Liberty Park features a Community Garden where planting beds can be rented for a nominal fee. Contact the leasing office for more information and availability.
16. What are my responsibilities concerning my yard?
To make your life easier, Liberty Park’s landscapers mow, edge, and trim all bushes, trees, and common areas. As a resident, you are responsible only for the upkeep of your flower beds and fenced-in yard if applicable.
17. Am I allowed to have weapons and firearms at my residence?
All weapons and firearms must be registered with Base Security Forces and a copy of that registration must be submitted to the Liberty Park Housing Office. Base Security Forces will determine the storage location of the weapon(s).
18. How long can visitors stay with me?
Homes at Liberty Park on Andrews are designated for military members and their DOD-recognized family members. Guests may stay up to 30 days per calendar year. If you’d like to house a guest for more than the 30-day time period, you must submit a copy of the guest’s Government-issued identification along with a Guest Request Form, which can be picked up in the leasing office, and receive office approval.

20. Is Joint Base Andrews the same as Andrews Air Force Base or Andrews AFB?
Good question! Technically, the full name is Joint Base Andrews Naval Air Facility Washington. But, everyone calls itJoint Base Andrews for short.In 2009, Andrews Air Force Base (Andrews AFB) became one of the first military installations to integrate and thusly rename as a result of the 2005 Base Realignment and Closure Act. It is now home to the Air Force, Army, Navy and Marine units, federal employees and contractors, and even hosts a chapter of the Civil Air Patrol.
